The 2021 Live Masterclass will provide the unique opportunity for conductors to rehearse and record a Symphony Tacoma chamber orchestra under the guidance of Maestra Ioannides for a professional video sponsored by Symphony Tacoma. The works being recorded will be the original compositions created for the workshop by members of the Cascade Composers Workshop with David Ludwig. There will be four total 2.5 hour sessions with Symphony Tacoma at the Pantages Theater (chamber orchestra): Two rehearsals in the afternoon of Monday, June 28th and Tuesday, June 29th (1-3:30, 4:30-7), and two recording session/concerts the afternoon of June 30th (1-3:30, 4:30-7.)

The masterclass will also feature 60 plus minutes of instructional podium time for each conductor with the Cascade Conducting Orchestra and the Cascade Conducting Piano Sextet featuring principal musicians from Symphony Tacoma, as well as a special podium session for auditors. All podium sessions will be video recorded.
