Additional Information

Full participants will receive a $300 discount and auditors will receive a $200 discount if selected to  play in the orchestra (instrumental resume required.)

The Masterclass will begin each day with two sessions from 9-12 with a 15 minute break at approximately 10:30.  The morning focus will be on score study, baton technique, and Q & A discussion of the practical responsibilities required of achieving and maintaining a conducting position. Guest speakers will be present during the morning sessions.

There will be a one hour break for lunch from 12-1.

The afternoon session will be dedicated to podium work with Symphony Tacoma musicians leading the Cascade Conducting Orchestra.  All participants will have equal podium time. Auditors will not have podium time.  Participants and auditors who have been selected to play in the orchestra will join the Symphony Tacoma musicians for this time except during the session which includes their podium time.
